An adopt-a-thon with a Mardi Gras theme, was on stage at Southold Animal Shelter on Sunday, February 26, 2006 In only 35 minutes all 15 puppies rescued from New Orleans received adoption applications. And, 3 adult dogs from Southold also received applications! Thank you to the many members of the NFAWL “family”, Special mention goes to NFAWL Director Maril Sawastynowicz for the idea and guiding energy.
