North Fork Animal Welfare League was formed in 1963 to help prevent cruelty to animals and extend humane education.
North Fork Animal Welfare League operates the Southold Animal Shelter to care for animals by locating owners of lost animals, by finding homes for homeless animals, and by providing shelter, food, grooming, exercise, and medical treatment.
